... To the Rescue!!

Saturday was a very good day for me. I am a Zoology student so am very interested in the well being of animals and wildlife.
I have volunteered to become a marine mammal medic and the course to train me to do so was just £90 so if your interested I would definitely recommend it!!

The day started off at 9:00 am with theory lectures including the anatomy of marine mammals and distributions etc. After a break, we had  another lecture, on first aid for dolphins and whales. this was followed by a similar lecture for seals.

Once the morning theory lectures were completed, then came the fun part. We spent the afternoon rescuing (fake) dolphins, whales and seals. It was a really good experience and I am now a qualified marine medic.

For the sake of the animals I hope I will never have to be called out to a rescue but if any do happen to become stranded in my area, its nice to know that I can help and offer my services to aid the animal.

If anyone (in the UK) would like any information on this course then just let me know :)
Thanks =]
